Well summer is over. I know we have all been busy. Let's all come back to church. I miss you when you are not there. Of course I'm not without guilt having traveled as well this summer. As you know we have some health issues in our class we need to stay in prayer. We certainly have Staff vacancies in Parkway that needs prayer. Oh yeah we have a lesson in 1 Peter . I hope everyone had a great and safe 4th of July. This Sunday we are studying in Judges. Title is Truth or Consequences. Please be in prayer. We have the month of prayer for Parkway. In addition we have classmates that have circumstances in their lives we need to be in prayer for. On a brighter side, think about a good date to have a class getogether. We can have it at our house. It's been a hot week. I hope everybody has had a good week. We have went a whole week without surgery but not without Dr appointments. As I say you retire so you can have time to go to the Drs. This weeks lesson in Joshua is The Loyalty Dare. You should be loyal in many ways. Certainly to God. Also to your church, spouse, nation, etc. I was reading today Rev. Evans in the paper criticizing the Southern Baptist convention in every way. To me if can't be loyal , don't be a part of it. Get out. I apologize. Let's discuss Biblically Sunday. J L Grant

Thanks for all the prayers and acts of kindness the last week. Elizabeth is doing much better. The lesson this week is in Joshua. It is about accountability. Sorry about being late this week. It has been an interesting week. Elizabeth had gall bladder surgery Thursday. She was supposed to be home by noon. It didn't work that way. She was nauseated and couldn't breathe. She actually got home Fri. at 4pm. She is doing better today. Don't forget 1 worship service tomorrow at 11. We are studying in Joshua. Well it's summer and it's hot. We will have our last lesson in Luke this Sunday. The title is He Lives Eternally : Carry On. We start a new quarterly next Sunday . I would like to specially invite the ladies in the class to come Sunday. We have missed several of you lately. Pray for our church. I wanted to send this early in the week. We will Not have the get together at Penny and Roberts farm this Saturday due to increased activity at the farm. We will have Sunday school at the regular time and place Sunday. We are still in Luke. I must say I've really enjoyed this series of lessons. They are familiar but with a different perspective . Made it back safely. Good to be home. I have some good pictures and stories. Also have some good Cunard chocolates and Elizabeth has made some little gifts for the mothers. Lesson is in Luke. Title is He Offers Salvation: Believe. What could be more wonderful? Also continue to pray for Paul's brother. Do something nice for your mother and/or your children's mother. He is risen indeed! Let's all be in Church tomorrow to honor our risen Lord. The lesson is in Luke titled Be Confident of the Resurrection. A very appropriate lesson. I want to thank each of you for all the things you done since Elizabeth's medical emergency. Thank God for Christian friends. I don't know how you would make it otherwise. I hope everyone got word of Penny's mother's death. Visitation is Jan. 5@ 5 to 7 pm. Funeral is Friday at 11am at Society Hill Baptist Church. Keep the family in prayer. The lesson this week in Numbers is Stay Focused On The Goal. It is an interesting one. Look forward to seeing everyone. J L Grant
